The  Pancretan Association of  Melbourne  proudly  presents   the  Folkloric  Group  from  Crete  the  ΛΑΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟΣ   ΟΜΙΛΟΣ    «  ΚΟΥΡΗΤΕΣ  ».

The  Dinner Dance  forms  part of  the  official  events   for  the  150^th  Anniversary  of  the  Holocaust of  the  Arkadi  Monastery  under  the  auspices of  the  Metropolitan  of Rethymnon  Evgenios, the Mayor  of  Rethymnon   and  the Region of Crete.

ARKADI   150   YEARS  :  1866  –  2016

The  24  person  group  is  made  up  of  16  Dancers &  Singers   headed  by  their  President  Mr. Manolis  Pattakos,  5  Musicians  namely  Kostas  Koutelidakis  ( Lyra  &  Vocals  ), Giorgos  Savvakis  ( Lute  & Vocals  ), Andreas  Koutelidakis  ( Lute  ),  Simeon  Koufakis  (  Askomantoura ) ,  Nektarios  Kounalakis  ( Krousta )   and    a  media  contingent .

This event   will  take  place  on  Saturday  19^th  November  2017   beginning   at  7.00pm  sharp  and  concluding  at  2.30am  featuring  Dance, Music  and  Songs  from Crete  as  well  as  a  Traditional  Costume  Exhibition.
